A Smart Investment
A professional home inspection provides peace of mind when making an educated decision about buying or selling your home.
Pre-Purchase Home Inspection
Are you buying a home? A pre-purchase home inspection can provide you with the information you need to know about the condition of the home you plan to purchase. More information leads to an informed purchase decision, which equals fewer surprises. Minimize the risk to your investment.
Pre-Listing Home Inspection
Are you selling a home? Provide confidence to prospective buyers that every effort has been made to disclose the condition of the home. A pre-listing inspection can lead to a faster sale with fewer stumbling blocks along the way.
What to Expect
Rudy will perform a detailed inspection of your home. On the day of the home inspection, Rudy will be on site between two and four hours, depending on the age, size, and condition of the property.
Following the inspection, you will receive a comprehensive report that includes an evaluation of the condition of various home systems, a categorized list of any deficiencies, as well as a wealth of information regarding home maintenance and how to address major or minor issues.
Our service does not end with your report - if you have questions after your inspection, you can call Rudy for information or advice. Our goal is to make you as confident and comfortable as possible with your decision.
Scope of Inspection
- Exterior systems
- Roofing, flashings, penetrations and chimneys
- Structural systems
- Plumbing systems
- Electrical systems
- Interior components
- Heating, ventilation and cooling (HVAC) systems
- Insulation and ventilation of attics, crawlspaces and unfinished basements
A home inspection is a non-invasive visual examination of the home’s overall structure, major systems and components. As a trained and qualified home inspector, Rudy will review your house as a system, looking at how one component of the house might affect the operability or lifespan of another. Components that are not performing properly should be identified, as well as items that are unsafe or beyond their useful life. (Source: Home Inspectors Association BC 2018)
Please note that it is required that no harm come to the home or its contents during a home inspection. As such, a visual inspection of some areas may be limited due to large furniture, wall hangings, etc.
